Sami experiences a twinge, which preempts Rafael from placing the call to his supervisor and alerting the world to her pregnancy. Sami continues to work hard to dissuade Rafael from placing the call. He agrees to sleep on it. After Sami falls asleep, Rafael takes out his phone and starts dialing.
Nicole feels her baby kick as she and EJ enjoy a sweetly romantic evening at the mansion. They bond over the baby and Nicole falls asleep in EJ's arms.
Marlena is back from Colorado and runs into John at the park. They discuss the fact that their divorce is final and parse out exactly what this means in terms of their future relationship. John experiences another headache, and Marlena helps him through the pain. He offers to walk her home. She mentions Sami's witness protection situation, and John comes up with an idea to help.
Philip tells Chelsea that Kate is in rough shape and can't have any visitors due to a depressed immune system from the chemo. After Chelsea leaves upset, Philip finally allows himself to break down. Meanwhile, Stephanie returns Max's shirt to him, signaling the absolute end of their relationship. Stephanie comes upon distraught Philip and offers to buy him a beer. Philip offers Stephanie an internship at Titan, and she accepts. Meanwhile, Chelsea stops at the Brady pub and crosses with Max, who comforts her. She accidentally uses his shirt to mop up a spilled drink. Max tells her not to worry. The shirt means nothing to him.
