Roman has set up a base of operations for the police in the hospital trauma center. They are dealing with the lockdown situation on the seventh floor. Philip and Nicole both show up, worried about Chloe and EJ. While they wait for news, Nicole eventually opens up and admits to Philip that she's falling for EJ.
John, Anna and Tony are in the electrical room, which contains the breaker boxes, equipment and power supplies for the seventh floor. They are trying to turn on the emergency ventilation system. John and Tony are working together until Tony makes a comment about John taking over the whole DiMera Empire himself. John and Tony face off. John thought Tony wanted nothing to do with his father's legacy. Tony doesn't want to get into this now, but once this ordeal is over he and John have some squaring off to do. Tony and John focus back on the wires. John asks Tony about his current status with Stefano. Tony says he doesn't have a relationship with Stefano. Tony tells John that as Stefano's pawn he got more attention from him than any of Stefano's children. John tells Tony he must choose a side. John's or Stefano's. Who will he choose?
Stefano stands over the paralyzed Marlena after removing her oxygen mask. Marlena asks if he's going to kill her. Stefano replies he wants her to suffer the same hell she put him through. Once she is completely paralyzed she will live in her own personal prison. Marlena appeals to Stefano, but it falls on deaf ears. Suddenly the room is plunged into darkness.
Later, Stefano returns and shows Marlena the broken disk containing all of John's memories. Marlena asks how he got his hands on the disk. Stefano tells her it's not important. He tosses the pieces in the trash and tells Marlena there will be no reunions with the old John.
