Your Daily Dose - August 20, 2008
NBC is airing the Beijing Olympic Games starting from the opening ceremony – 8/8/08 – through to the final medals. But while we all love to watch the gymnasts (even without Paul Hamm) and the swimmers and track and field, we don't want to miss out on all the goings-on in Salem. Never fear; the show will still be on the air for the duration. Unfortunately, there will be preemptions, so make sure you check your local listings. And check back here for a new image every day. Or head to iTunes and watch the show, every day.
Finally, John got the ventilation system working at the hospital. Then he had a fantasy of his own. In it, he encountered young Stefano, who claimed John had ruined his life. Then John ran into Santo, who told him he was making a mistake by being cold to everyone. Finally, "old" John confronted NuJohn and made it clear that Marlena was the best thing that ever happened, to either of them. Meanwhile, Marlena was visited by her dead sister Samantha and the two argued over whether Mar should give up on John. Samantha told Marlena that if she had the will to reverse her coma, she could get over John. Marlena moved her hand, picked up the syringe, and plunged the antidote into her arm! Where there's a will, there's a way!

Unable to believe that EJ had chosen Sami over her, Nicole started hitting the bottle. She drifted into an elaborate, black-and-white, 1940s fantasy. In it, Sami was having an affair with EJ (Nicole's husband). Nicole discovered an earring and took it to Lucas, a private investigator. He recognized the earring; it belonged to his wife, Sami! He confronted her and she left him. Meanwhile, Chloe auditioned to sing at Philip's nightclub. She got the job, but what she really wanted was her old boss. Lucas. He wasn't interested. Sami showed up for another tryst with EJ, but found Nicole, instead – and Nicole smothered her with a pillow! |

EJ arrived home for his planned tryst with Sami, but Nicole had hidden her body. Nicole accused EJ of having an affair; he admitted he could never be faithful and left. Nicole called Lucas over and he saw his dead wife, Sami. He mourned her, but only for a moment. He then threatened to kill Nicole. Later, Nicole confessed her crime to EJ. He was impressed – she'd actually kill for him? They made love and prepared to run away, but Abe and Roman came in and arrested her. How'd they find out? Lucas. He thought Chloe had ditched him for Philip, but she ended up at his office. They decided to leave town – together – but Lucas had a bit of last-minute unfinished business. He told the police about Nicole. In full-color Salem, Nicole broke out of her fantasy and was determined to find out what was going on with EJ. |
