Say Goodbye to Shelle
Martha Madison arrived in Salem to play a more grown-up version of Belle Black. No longer a high-school student, this Belle was married, with a child, and in love with her ex, Shawn. Brandon Beemer stepped into the role of Shawn at a difficult moment: Shawn had just learned that Claire was his child, not Philip's, and his wife at the time, Mimi, had known the truth for a long time. It was perfect timing, however, for Shawn and Belle to come back together, and, with Brandon and Martha in the roles, they did.
Brandon and Martha have enjoyed a lot of drama in their roles – including Belle hooking back up with her ex, Philip – but now they've renewed their vows and are heading off for the biggest adventure of their lives. Much like Shawn's parents Bo and Hope did, he and Belle are going to sail around the world with their daughter, Claire. Sounds like fun. Unfortunately, it means we have to say goodbye to these two characters and the much-loved actors who played them. Goodbye, Martha and Brandon! We'll miss you.
