Like Sands Through the Hourglass You should write a book. People often say that; other people too often listen. But not everyone should really write a book. Then you have Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes. They’d been told they should write a book and, in fact, they should. And lucky for all of us, they did. They have an amazing tale to tell, full of Hollywood history, Salem history and their own rich and wonderful love story. They’re Salem’s first super-couple and town royalty who even graced the cover of Time magazine, January 12, 1976.
To celebrate the publication of the book, Like Sands Through the Hourglass, which hits the racks October 4, 2005, Ken Corday threw them an on-set party, complete with a yummy cake and many of their co-cast members wishing them well. Ken gave a gracious speech and Bill and Susan spoke, as well. Read on to find out more and help their story hit the best-seller list; we’re sure there’s someone you know (as well as yourself) who will find the book heartwarming, inspirational -- and hilarious.
Ken_Corday: This is wonderful. It’s an exciting day. This is the first time anyone has written a book, not only about their lives but about our lives here at the show. It’s not a calendar, it’s not a cookbook, it’s not a pictorial coffee table book, it’s a true story. It’s the story of two wonderful people whom we’ve all known for a long time. I’ve known them for twenty-five years and have had the real, lovely privilege to work with and adore.
